Welcome to Florida’s newest soccer news source

TAMPA – Welcome to the newest addition to the soccer marketplace in Florida, Florida Soccer Report. We’ll be bringing you news from around our state of soccer at all levels.

Founded by former USL Championship Staff Writer, Chris Hockman, continuing on from the similar work started in San Antonio, TX, Florida Soccer Report aims to cover as much soccer as is possible throughout Florida.

Hockman has been in soccer media in the United States since moving in 2010 initially with Examiner, then his own website, San Antonio Soccer News before moving on to the Rivard Report which then led to a season as staff writer at what is now called USL Championship.

Since leaving USL Championship in 2018 Hockman has been working as an editor and proof reader along with doing some corporate work mostly for TransferWise. But the time has come to get back in to the game and with the launch of Florida Soccer News to try and bring more coverage to the sport we all love.

Based out of Tampa that area will be the main focus as we get started but we’ll look to cover the rest of the state as quickly as possible. We hope you’ll join us.
