Jordyn Listro Returns to Orlando Pride

ORLANDO – Canadian Jordyn Listro has signed a one-year contract with Orlando Pride for the 2021 NWSL season the club announced on Friday.

Despite being from Toronto, Listro will not take up an international roster slot as she holds a green card, making her count as a US National.

The midfielder played in the Fall Series for the Pride, starting three matches for 262 minutes and was vital for Orlando’s distribution, managing an 80.5 percent passing accuracy.

“We first saw Jordyn when she attended our open tryouts last year. Throughout the year we have seen a big development in her understanding of game situations and she has brought forth her qualities for all to see. She played a big part in the Fall Series and is extremely dedicated to the sport,” Orlando Pride Head Coach Marc Skinner said. “The staff and I are looking forward to working with Jordyn and continuing to build on the skill set and mindset she already possesses. Her energy is infectious and this will be a great factor in her future development.”

One thing to note around Listro is discipline, having picked up a yellow card in every NWSL match she’s played. Listro’s contract includes a club option should she excel and it would not be unusual for her to do well for a Floridian team. Just down I-4 she set a record of appearances at the University of South Florida, with 82.
